A short and hot getaway

Jason and I decided to take a short trip to San Antonio this past Monday-Wednesday. It was great to get away, except we picked the hottest days of the year so far. It was crazy hot....100+ degrees in April! Only in Texas...We had planned to go visit Seaworld, but once we got there, we found out they were closed, opened only on weekends. Of course, we were disappointed, but we decided not to let that ruin our trip. We ended up going to the San Antonio Zoo, which is not nearly as good compared to the Ft. Worth Zoo, but still had lots of fun. See, it's not about where you go sometimes, it's about who you go with. We also visited the Wax museum and Ripley's Believe it or not. Had good ol' Texan BBQ and Mexican food. Stopped by San Marcos for some major shopping, although we didn't buy too much. It's hard to buy stuff when your stomach is the size of a basketball! It was a good trip, although I'm not trying to recover from a few nights of restless sleep. Hotel beds make me ache!
